Beaches of Palermo, the Most Beautiful in the City and Province
Spectacular landscapes, white beaches nestled between the mountains and coastal cities that you will never forget. Where are the most beautiful beaches in Palermo?
The Palermitan coast, located along the northern coastline of Sicily, is a must-visit road trip destination, stretching 150 kilometers with a variety of beach options; finding the perfect beach for you will not be difficult.
Mondello Beach
Mondello is a long stretch of bright white sand nestled between Monte Gallo and Monte Pellegrino. It's the place where the locals go to the beach, and it has become a nightlife hotspot over the years. The beach, especially in high season, is always quite crowded. If you want tranquility, this isn't the beach for you.
Addaura
On the northern slope of Monte Pellegrino, there is a small fishing village located southeast of Mondello Beach, offering visitors several coves that stretch into the crystal-clear sea.
If you enjoy diving, this is the place for you. Don't miss a visit to the Addaura Cave, a complex of three caves inhabited since the Paleolithic.
Arenella Beach
Arenella Beach, in the Maria Vergine area, is one of the urban beaches of Palermo, located about 5 km from the city center at the foot of Monte Pellegrino.
Developed around the Tonnara Florio during the 1800s, this small neighborhood is a landmark for those heading to the beach in Palermo.

Isola delle Femmine
500 meters off the Palermitan coast lies a small island that is a nature reserve managed by the Italian League for Bird Protection, a place where the sea is particularly clean and clear.
The side facing Sicily has shallow waters that are suitable for children.
Punta Raisi
Not far from Falcone - Borsellino Airport, you will find Punta Raisi Beach, characterized by cliffs and rocks that make the water crystal clear. Although it has a shallow bottom, it is not suitable for going to the beach with children.
Capaci
Capaci Beach features a long stretch of golden sand that plunges into transparent waters, very close to the Marine Nature Reserve of Isola delle Femmine.
Capo Gallo
At Capo Gallo, you won't find beaches. The nature reserve is famous for its cliffs and crystal-clear waters. There are two accesses: the main one is paid, and the one from Mondello requires a trek through the rocks.
Sferracavallo
The fishing village of Sferracavallo is located right at the foot of Monte Gallo and features a coastline alternating between little beaches and small cliffs. It's worth a stop for its picturesque seaside restaurants.
Cala Rossa Beach
At Cala Rossa (Terrasini), you will find red rocks streaked with white, creating a world-unique spectacle. The rock wall rising from the sea makes the waters crystal clear.
This is the perfect place for diving.
Capo Rama Beach
Capo Rama is a white cliff with a lookout tower dating from the 1500s. The sea beyond the rocks is spectacular, and there are also caves to explore.
Crucicchia Beach
Crucicchia (Ficarazzi) is a free and uncrowded little beach, ideal for those who enjoy spending hours of tranquility and relaxation. It is easily accessible from the town and is completely free.
Cefalù
Beauty, nature, and unspoiled sea come together, creating a truly extraordinary landscape characterized by houses that reach right up to the beach. Alongside the beach, there is also an area where you will find only rocks, Kalura.
Lascari Beaches
At the foot of the Madonie, Lascari is the perfect place for those seeking tranquility in blissful solitude. It is one of the less-traveled areas of the coast. The best-known beach is Salinelle, characterized by golden sand, while the one we recommend is Piletto Beach, which is reached via a path that requires walking.
