Beaches of Salerno
In the province of Salerno, there are some of the most beautiful beaches in all of Campania. Along the 200 km of Salerno's coastline, you will find sandy beaches, cliffs, and secret coves.
The city coastline is about five kilometers long, where you can find urban beaches for relaxation and possibly a swim. It is by moving away from the city that you will discover the most beautiful beaches, primarily those of the Amalfi Coast and the Cilentana Coast, characterized by sandy beaches, paradise-like corners immersed in nature, and surrounded by cliffs that drop steeply into the sea.
Salerno Beach, the Most Beautiful in the City and Province
Via Allende Beach, Salerno
It is one of the beaches in Salerno and is located in Campo Volpe, not too far from the center and is characterized by sand and rocks. It is perfect if you are looking for a secluded place without straying too far from the city.
Santa Teresa Beach, Salerno
It is the urban beach of Salerno located at the end of the waterfront Trieste, a true lounge by the sea. It is rich in services and amenities and is perfect for a relaxing break after exploring the city.
Infreschi Bay, Marina di Camerota
The beach can be reached by sea or by following a trekking route that goes through the Mediterranean scrub. The walking path that starts from Lentiscelle beach in Marina di Camerota allows you to admire other delightful coves only reachable by sea: Cala Fortuna and Cala Bianca.
Protected by imposing rocks, Infreschi Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches on the coast and has been declared a Marine Protected Area.
Calanca Beach, Marina di Camerota
You can reach it on foot from the center of Marina di Camerota via a staircase that leads down to the sea. The sandy beach is nestled in a bay surrounded by rocky cliffs. At one end of the bay, you will find the imposing Torre delle Viole.
Buon Dormire Beach, Palinuro
The beautiful cove of Capo Palinuro can only be reached by sea and is famous for its emerald-colored water and golden sand. In front of the beach is the Rabbit Rock with walls that drop into the sea. It can be reached by boat from the port of Palinuro.
Marina delle Barche, Marina di Camerota
The wide and long coastline also known as San Domenico beach is located near the port of Marina di Camerota. The southern part of the coastline is free, less crowded, and definitely more charming: you will find sandy bottoms, crystal clear water, and beaches surrounded by green hills.
Conca dei Marini
It is one of the most beautiful bays in the province of Salerno, made of rocks where the sea is blue. According to what is said, all the activities of the village, from fishing with the tuna trap to maritime trade, were concentrated in this bay.
Marinella Beach, Palinuro
The Marinella beach is reachable on foot from Palinuro by following a path or a staircase. Along the way, you have the opportunity to admire the splendid panorama that opens up over the entire coast.
Natural Arch, Palinuro
Near the mouth of the Mingarso River, the Natural Arch beach is one of the most beautiful locations in the Cilento, also used in cinema in films like the Argonauts. The beach is famous for the rocky arch that encloses a secluded beach. From here, excursions to the caves of Cape Palinuro depart.
Iscolelli Beach, Marina di Camerota
Iscolelli is an isolated cove from everything, a true paradise between sea and rocks. It is reached through a trekking path of about 15 minutes.
In this corner, the rocks form real natural pools.
Punta Licosa, Castellabate
There is a legend surrounding this beautiful beach of the Marine Protected Area of Castellabate, and it is that of the mermaid Leucosia, turned into a rock after throwing herself off the cliff for unrequited love. It is perfect for those who practice snorkeling and diving.
Cala Bianca, Marina di Camerota
The beaches of the Amalfi Coast are difficult to reach: often, you have to traverse steep paths and descend numerous steps before spotting the coves embedded in the rock, sometimes reachable only by sea. Among the most beautiful, we recommend the fjord of Furore, the Duoglio beach of Amalfi, the beach of Castiglione in Ravello, Erchie beach, and Tuoro Vecchio beach.
