Notting Hill Carnival
The Notting Hill Carnival, the largest Caribbean festival in the Old Continent, will be held in London on August 30 and 31, 2020.
The first edition of this great kaleidoscope of music and colors dates back to the early 1960s, when a small group of Caribbean revelers from the local community initiated a celebration that has grown over time to attract more than a million attendees, surpassing every imaginable expectation.

Notting Hill Carnival Events
The event will kick off on Saturday with a music competition, continue on Sunday with a parade dedicated to the little ones, and culminate on Monday with a long parade of costumes and masks, musical bands, and enthusiastic samba dancers winding through several kilometers along Great Western Road, Chepstow Road, Westbourne Grove, and Ladbroke Grove, concluding with numerous festivities being organized in every corner of the neighborhood.
Music will take center stage at this grand street event, featuring various musical genres ranging from Caribbean rhythms to reggae, funk, house, all set against the backdrop of internationally renowned artists like Jamiroquai, Wyclef Jean, and Eddie Grant.
Along the streets of this famous neighborhood, attendees can taste a diversity of dishes including curry, jerk chicken, rice and peas, fried bananas, and rum punch to savor the multicultural essence of the great Anglo-Saxon capital.
How to Get There
Reaching Notting Hill is best accomplished by using London's efficient public transportation, although some subway stations may remain closed during the event, such as Ladbroke Grove, Notting Hill Gate, Royal Oak, and Westbourne Park.
