THINGS TO SEE IN Å, NORWAY - The small village, home to 150 people, is located on the Lofoten Islands, one of the most beautiful places in the world in the North Sea, where you can find some of the most picturesque landscapes and towns in Norway.

Tourists flock to the Lofoten Islands every summer to climb its mountains and admire its charming fishing villages. In the small village of Å, you can visit the Lofoten Stockfish Museum, which is dedicated to the fishing of stockfish, and the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum. Å can be a starting point to explore the spectacular landscape made of vertical peaks.

Å IN THE LOFOTEN ISLANDS, NORWAY - Å in Old Norse means little river, but it is not the only place in Norway called this; there are at least seven other villages named Å throughout the country. This is why the location in the municipality of Moskenes is often referred to as Å in the Lofoten Islands. Among the curiosities related to the name, it is worth noting that Å is the last letter of the Norwegian alphabet and is also the last town in the Lofoten Islands accessible via the European Route E10.

THE CHALLENGE, THE TRIP FROM A - B - In 2004, British writer Paul Parry decided to embark on a cycling journey from A to B, where A and B did not mark two points on a map but corresponded to two places: Å in Norway and Bee in Nebraska.

When he arrived in Nebraska more than three months later, the mayor of Omaha proclaimed "A to B Day" to honor the feat.
