Beaches of Lanzarote, which are the most beautiful? Expanses of golden sand and volcanic rocks, surfing paradises, and corners where nature shines at its best.

On the island of Lanzarote, there are about a hundred beaches that you absolutely must visit. Unlike the other Canary Islands, Lanzarote has very few black sand beaches, you will find imposing volcanic rocks laid out on golden sands and crystal-clear waters everywhere.

If you have decided to spend a vacation on the easternmost Spanish island of the archipelago, we have created a guide to the most beautiful beaches with maps and charts.

On the northwestern coast of the island of Lanzarote, far from the resorts and tourists, Famara Beach is surrounded by beautiful pinkish cliffs. It is the perfect beach for those who love surfing, windsurfing, or kiteboarding.

Pedro Almodóvar chose to shoot some scenes from the film Broken Embraces on this beach. The beach is secluded, you won't find bars or services. A paradise between sky and sea.

Las Conchas

On the nearby islet of the Chinijo archipelago, north of Lanzarote, you can reach the beautiful islet La Graciosa to enjoy the stunning Las Conchas beach, a strip of golden sand overlooking crystal-clear waters. The island is reached in 15-20 minutes by boat from Órzola.

Charco del Palo

Charco del Palo is the ultimate naturist area of Lanzarote that you can find in the north of the island. It consists of natural volcanic pools that are replenished according to the tides.

Caleta del Mojon Blanco

Perfect for those wanting to windsurf, Mojon Blanco Beach is a stretch of very white sand. The beach is located in the north of the island.

Playa de la Canteria

Less Windy Beaches of Lanzarote

If you are looking for beaches where the wind is not a regular visitor, Lanzarote offers some perfect gems to enjoy the sun and sea in complete tranquility.

Playa Blanca, located in the southern part of the island, is one of the favorite destinations due to its sheltered position, making it less exposed to the trade winds. Here you will find beaches like Playa Flamingo and Playa Dorada, ideal for relaxing without worrying about the wind.

Another excellent option is Playa Papagayo, located within the Natural Park of Los Ajaches: this sheltered bay offers calm waters and natural windbreaks, creating a paradisiacal atmosphere.

Finally, Playa Chica, in Puerto del Carmen, is a small cove that remains well protected due to its natural configuration, ideal for swimming and snorkeling without disturbances.
