Hambara Bar: A Secret Spot Just Steps from Sofia's Center

Sofia is a city full of fascinating places, but if you want to visit one that is truly unique, we recommend stopping by the Hambara Bar. It is a secret spot, without a sign or any indication, located not far from the center of Sofia.

To reach it, you will need to walk along Ul Han Krum and turn left onto 6-tu septemuri; in front of a children's clothing store, you will find an open gate: enter and head towards the light you see at the end, and you will arrive at a wooden door, which is the entrance to the bar. All you have to do is knock and wait for someone to let you in (keep knocking if they don't open right away).

The Hambara Bar is quite special: it is practically an old barn that is very dimly lit, illuminated only by candles. The music is good and the prices are reasonable: for an excellent Bulgarian beer, for example, you will spend 2.7 euros. Try to arrive early: the place is almost always full, and there aren't many seats available.
