The Christmas Train from Turin to the Christmas Markets along the Ancient Railway

If you want to take a trip back in time, you can board the historic Christmas Train that will take you through the most beautiful landscapes, the villages, and the Christmas markets of the Tanaro Valley.

On December 8th, the historic steam train returns from Turin along the Ceva-Ormea line.

Next Thursday, December 8th, you can travel on the historic Christmas train that will depart from Turin Porta Nuova, heading to Garessio and Ormea.

Here are the details of the Christmas Train route.

Stops and Route

The train departs from Turin Porta Nuova station at 8:40 AM and arrives at Ceva station at 10:25 AM, where it will be attached to the Steam locomotive.

It proceeds along the historic railway line "Ceva - Ormea" in the Tanaro Valley. This route connects Ceva station (388m) with Ormea station (716m) and includes seven intermediate stations (Nucetto, Bagnasco, Pievetta, Priola, Garessio, Trappa, Eca-Nasagò).

At 11:19 AM, it is expected to arrive in Nucetto. A stop of about 40 minutes will be made at the small and charming station completely restored and converted into the Museum of the High Tanaro Valley, Railway Museum, and headquarters of the Nucetto Chickpea Consortium.

From Nucetto, you can choose to stop at Garessio station or continue to Ormea station, the terminus of the Valley. The return to Turin is scheduled for 8:42 PM.
